About me

My name is Szilvia Schöffer, and I’m thrilled to share my journey and expertise with you. In 2018, I embarked on a new chapter of my life when my Hungarian husband landed a job in Copenhagen, Denmark. Little did I know this move would thrust me into the whirlwind experience of being an expat.

From navigating a foreign environment to securing accommodation, opening bank account, and grappling with the nuances of Danish work culture, I encountered the common challenges that many expats face. The journey wasn’t without its hurdles – months of unanswered job applications, frequent rejections, and the steep learning curve of understanding the do’s and don’ts in a new country.

With several years of experience in Leadership, Recruitment, and Onboarding at Lufthansa Systems in Hungary, relocating to Denmark challenged me to adapt and apply the knowledge I had gained to a completely new environment. From 2020, as I transitioned into the role of a Competence Manager, I began my journey at NCC, where I gained foundational experience in leadership and hiring practices across the Nordic countries. Later, I moved to Novo Nordisk, where I further developed my skills as a People Leader.

Working with these prominent corporate organizations in Denmark gave me invaluable insights into Danish work culture and a deep understanding of what Danish employers seek in candidates and applications. Alongside my professional growth, I found immense joy in assisting fellow expats and prospective newcomers to Denmark. As more individuals sought my advice on relocating, finding accommodation, and navigating the Danish system, I realized the fulfillment I derived from offering support and sharing my experiences.

Driven by this passion for assisting others, I’ve decided to formalize my services and extend a helping hand to those embarking on their own journey to Denmark.
